High Tide Inc. has launched store number 13 in Alberta, with company plans being to have a total of 23 locations operational in Canada by early September.

Lucky store 13 in Olds, Alta. totals 17 branded Canna Cabana locations selling recreational cannabis products across the country, the retail-focused cannabis corporation announced in a press release this week. High Tide’s next six Canna Cabana locations are all licensed and expected to be operating as retail cannabis stores by early September, the statement adds.

The company reports it is intent on meeting Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis’ (AGLC) maximum of 15 percent market share, which prevents any one brand from over-saturating the market.

Located in Olds, the new Canna Cabana location has received its retail licence from AGLC and is ready for sales after receiving its first cannabis delivery this week. Canna Cabana also received two AGLC licences to sell recreational cannabis at its upcoming locations in Calgary and Vegreville, both expected to open their doors in September.

“The opening of the Olds Store is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our employees,” Raj Grover, president and CEO of High Tide, says in a statement. “We are excited to bring the Canna Cabana experience to the forward-thinking community of Olds, where we have an existing relationship through our previous Smoker’s Corner business,” Grover adds.

High Tide, which manufactures and distributes wholesale smoking accessories and cannabis lifestyle products, also has branded stores in Saskatchewan and the Ontario communities of Hamilton, Sudbury and Toronto.
