(“High Tide”) today announced that it has applied to Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming (“SLGA”) for cannabis retail permits in 16 communities across the province. Applications have been submitted for the cities of Estevan, Humboldt, Lloydminster, Martensville, Meadow Lake, Melfort, Melville, Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current, Warman, Weyburn and Yorkton. The SLGA has made 51 cannabis retail permits available in 32 communities through an Request for Proposal (“RFP”) process and is expected to award the permits via random draw by June 1, 2018.

High Tide’s new entity, Canna Cabana, is ready to educate and serve Saskatchewan’s customers by pairing the right accessories to the many expected forms of legalized cannabis. Subject to the outcome of the random draw and licensing by the SLGA, any Canna Cabana locations developed as a result of this process will offer customers a modern retail concept with a sophisticated yet playful experience. As a rapidly growing company, High Tide continues to participate in Alberta’s retail cannabis permitting process and is also ready to apply in British Columbia.
