High Tide Applies for 16 Cannabis Retail Permits across Saskatchewan
April 10, 2018

Calgary, AB, April 10, 2018 / CNW / – High Tide Ventures Inc. (“High Tide”) today announced that it has applied to Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming (“SLGA”) for cannabis retail permits in 16 communities across the province. Applications have been submitted for the cities of Estevan, Humboldt, Lloydminster, Martensville, Meadow Lake, Melfort, Melville, Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current, Warman, Weyburn and Yorkton. The SLGA has made 51 cannabis retail permits available in 32 communities through an Request for Proposal (“RFP”) process and is expected to award the permits via random draw by June 1, 2018.

High Tide began developing its operational expertise in 2009 and now has 19 existing Smoker’s Corner retail outlets offering cannabis accessories. High Tide’s new entity, Canna Cabana, is ready to educate and serve Saskatchewan’s customers by pairing the right accessories to the many expected forms of legalized cannabis. Subject to the outcome of the random draw and licensing by the SLGA, any Canna Cabana locations developed as a result of this process will offer customers a modern retail concept with a sophisticated yet playful experience. As a rapidly growing company, High Tide continues to participate in Alberta’s retail cannabis permitting process and is also ready to apply in British Columbia.

High Tide was assisted through the process by Cannabis Compliance Inc. (“CCI”), the world’s largest cannabis consulting firm. CCI has developed an expertise in successfully navigating the ever-changing regulatory framework that has defined the cannabis industry. “We are grateful to CCI for its expertise and are hopeful that High Tide will be able to extend its vertically integrated business into Saskatchewan”, said Raj Grover, President & Chief Executive Officer of High Tide. Brian Wagner, Chief Executive Officer of CCI, added, “Our firm greatly enjoyed working with the High Tide team and we are appreciative of the opportunity to establish and develop this business relationship.”

The High Tide family would like to conclude by saying that the entire Humboldt, Saskatchewan community is in our thoughts and prayers, and a contribution has been made to the Humboldt Broncos GoFundMe page.
